With your Site1 and Site2 fabrics created and verified to configured and functioning correctly, the next step is to move them in a Multi-Site Domain (MSD), but first, a Fabric needs to be created for the router(s) that will act as the Inter-Site Network (ISN) providing connectivity between your Data Center sites. Again, Nexus Dashboard can fully manage these devices as well in fabrics that are created very similar to the previous External L3 Fabric.

Step 1 - Exit Site2 Fabric

  1. Click Manage
  2. Click Fabrics

Step 2 - Launch Create Fabric

In the Fabrics pane, you should now see your Site2 fabric present.

  1. Click Create Fabric

  2. Click Create New LAN fabric
  3. Click Next

  4. Click External and inter-fabric connectivity
  5. Click Next

Step 3 - Fabric Fabric Settings

In the Create Fabrics popup wizard:

  1. Name the fabric: ISN
  2. Under Location Type: Madrid, ES
  3. Set the BGP ASN to 65444
  4. Set The license Tier to Premier
  5. Then, click Next

  6. Click Submit

  7. Click View fabric details

Step 4 - Edit Fabric Setting Type

  1. Click Actions
  2. Then click Edit Fabric Settings

  3. Click Fabric Management
  4. Uncheck the checkbox for Fabric Monitor Mode
  5. Click Save in the bottom right

Continue to the next section to discover and import your core router that will act as your ISN router into your ISN fabric.
